GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Datalogic's CCD contact reader offer expands with two further products: the DLC6165/90-M Enhanced CCD Reader and the DLC6265/90-M PDF Reader. They both share a brand new digital architecture which guarantees the most powerful features on the market for readers in their class. In fact, based on a superior decoder unit, these readers are capable of reaching excellent reading performance rates, particularly with damaged or dirty bar codes after a period of extensive use.
The built-in Data Formatting and Data Editing features allow the user to shape the collected data according to whatever format is required by the application.
The connectivity to the Host system is guaranteed by the powerful multistandard decoder, capable of RS232, Pen Emulation and Wedge interfaces, which now characterises all Datalogic's new generation HHD readers. Wedge interfaces have also been further enhanced in these new products to allow connectivity to DEC, Wyse and MAC (ADB Bus). Thanks to their In-Field Update capabilities via serial connection, the DLC6165/90-M and DLC6265/90-M also prove to be extremely flexible in all situations where firmware upgrading is required. Last but not least, it is possible to remap the keyboard layout to support any specific need in custom applications and/or geographical markets.
The DLC6165/90-M is a linear CCD Reader available in four different models, depending on the trigger option and on the width of the bar codes that have to be read (65 mm or 90 mm wide).
The DLC6265/90-M PDF Reader, which shares with the DLC6165/90-M all the features highlighted above, is Datalogic’s cost-effective answer to reading PDF417 codes, in addition to all linear bar codes. Reading occurs through manual scanning of the code, while the high performance decoder and the dual feed-back system (LED + beeper) communicate scan progress in real time to the user.
These features, combined with an unbeatable price/performance ratio, make the DLC6265/90-M the ideal choice for all applications where PDF417 codes accompany traditional bar codes.
