Formula 630, Display Pen, is lightweight and versatile Pen Terminal ideal for those data collection activities where size, weight and cost requirements are the determing factors. This is designed to suit many applications such as stock control, warehousing, document control, retail sale, opinion polls, market research and even waiter service. The Display Pen is able to read all bar code symbologies used in industry and commerce today, under any ambient light conditions, from direct sunlight to total darkness and they are protected against dust, water jettings and electrostatic discharges. The Formula 630 features a LCD graphic display with software controlled icons and two scroll keys for memory query, allowing easy and productive dialogue between user and pen terminal itself. The instant they are captured, codes are automatically discriminated, decoded and sequenced according to a preset order, matched to a quantity, time and date, and stored permanently till you decide to download them to the host computer for later and further processing. Data transfer takes place via RS-232 serial connection by simply inserting the terminal into the Formula 951 Optical Transceiver/Charger. Formula 950/4 multi slot Transceiver/Charger allows simultaneous recharging and data download of up to four Pen Terminals. This means it is possible to lodge a full memory pen and pick up a fully charged one with an empty memory from F950/4 to get on with your work. Formula 630 is available with a pre-loaded application. For more customized applications Formula 630 is completely programmable in C language. By using Datalogic’s specially conceived Development System for Formula or Utility Tools, the user is free to perform an easy modelling of the terminal’s functions to create all the programs to meet specific individual, business or company needs. |
